What's the difference between a booster pad and an incontinence pad?
We're asked this question often by shoppers, so we thought it would be helpful to put together a video explaining how these two products differ.
Booster pads are an absorbent product without a waterproof backing. They're used to add extra capacity to other incontinence products, like adult diapers or underwear. Booster pads should never be worn in your underwear as the liquid will pass right through the product and into your clothes.
Incontinence pads, on the other hand, are more similar to an adult diaper or underwear in terms of functionality. You can think of an incontinence pad as an oversized menstrual pad with a different shape and absorbency level.
Incontinence pads can be worn in your regular underwear (or a pad holder if you prefer) because they have a waterproof backing that helps to contain any liquid within the product.
